A40 Elmbridge Court Roundabout Improvements

A very busy roundabout and major access route into the centre of Gloucester off the M5, the Elmbridge Court roundabout is in need of redevelopment to improve its capacity. The proposed re-design of the roundabout will provide additional lanes on the approaches to the roundabout, 24 hour traffic signals of all arms except two (Cheltenham Road East and Elmbridge Court egress) and the construction of a ?straight on? two lane one way link through the roundabout from the westbound carriageway of the A40 Golden Valley Bypass to the A40 Gloucester Northern Bypass known as a ?hamburger lane?.
