The ICB has experienced a number of practices serving notice on the prescribing of Adult ADHD medication (and are following suit on paediatric ADHD medication prescribing). The intention was that these patients would return to the specialist service that prescribed the medication originally in order to get their ongoing care. However, in the medium term it is apparent that those service providers will not be able to scale up at pace to meet the increased demand. As an interim solution we will commission ADHD Shared Care Prescribing Service to Thrive Health Hubs Trading as Thurrock Health Hubs to deliver the service from 15th June 2025 to 31st March 2026.
