The crop map will be produced from satellite imagery and will identify all the main arable crops including winter wheat, winter barley, spring barley, oilseed rape, sugar beet, potatoes, field beans and maize. RSAC has already collaborated with CEH on an Innovate UK funded feasibility project aimed at identifying the potential for developing crop maps from satellite imagery.
