Ambergate Recreation Ground -water logging prevention works

AVBC are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced civil engineering/construction service provider to undertake works which will involve the re-shaping/landscaping of the topography of the recreation ground by taking earth from the slightly higher ground adjacent to the river bank and using it to raise the ground level in the centre of the recreation ground where it currently suffers from water logging. The Environment Agency (EA) have also requested that a volume of earth equal to 10% of the volume removed from the higher ground is moved to an area outside of the identified flood zone either within the recreation ground or elsewhere.
