An assessment of the determinants of business competitiveness and the role of carbon pricing policy in the UK

This research will consist of two phases. The first ('Phase 1') seeks to: i) develop a systematic and holistic framework of the determinants of business competitiveness; ii) develop an approach for measuring competitiveness (through a metric or set of metrics); and iii) as part of the above, establish how, and the extent to which, carbon pricing policy influences business competitiveness. We expect this work to be supported by a review of relevant literature on competitiveness both in the UK and globally.
