B990 Fordingbridge Bypass Half-Joint Investigation

B990 Fordingbridge Bypass carries the A338 single carriageway over River Avon. The bridge is a single span portal, comprising reinforced concrete cantilevers with a suspended composite deck central span supported in form of half-joints. Previous inspections have shown defects across the edges of both (north & south) half-joints due to degraded sealant over the expansion joints and ingress of water. These defects, however, have not been fully examined closely due to access constraints. This contract therefore is to undertake detailed half-joint investigation and concrete testing.
