CSET was formed as a MAT in March 2013 with the founding school being The Castle School in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. The Trust expanded rapidly from one to seven schools in its first three years of operation. Since then the Trust has concentrated on consolidating the financial and educational performance of the group.
