These will generally be collected from General Practices or outlying inpatient/outpatient NHS locations and transported to the Pathology Laboratories at Hull Royal Infirmary in Hull and/or Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham. Time will be a critical factor in the delivery of samples as Blood will need to be delivered for analysis within 2 hours ideally but no later than 4 hours for the sample to remain effective.
