CP1201-15 Child Death Overview Panel Arrangements (TENDER)

The Child Death Review Process became mandatory in April 2008 and Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP)is responsible for reviewing information on all child deaths. Chapter 5 of 'Working Together 2015' sets out the procedures to be followed when a child dies. The CDOP is accountable to the Local Safeguarding Children Board. CDOPs may serve more than one LSC Band the South West Peninsula LSCBs of Cornwall & Isles of Scilly, Devon, Plymouth and Torbay have agreed to manage the overview of child deaths in the region through collective Child Death Overview Panel arrangements.
