The Vehicle Support Team has a requirement to strip, inspect and refurbish circa 700 final drives on the Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked (CVRT) Mk 1. This requirement will involve inserting new planet carrier assemblies into all drives. Refurbishment of final drives are required to occur on a rolling basis to allow final drives to be cycled through the fleet. A minimum of 20 drives are to be refurbished each month. Refurbishment of final drives will require the Contractor to have the ability to inspect and repair (or replace) final drive components ensuring that they are within specific tolerances.
