The existing festoon lighting is no longer fit for purpose and is coming to the end of its active life. There is no longer a maintenance contract in place to look after the lights and it is repaired on an adhoc basis. The existing Festoon lighting suffers significantly from its coastal location, specifically suffering from wind and salt damage.
