BEIS provided funding in 2018 to support capacity within LEPs and Local Authorities for local energy project development. Five Hub regions were established, covering the geography of England. The structure of this support is a central "Hub" within each region, hosted by one of the regional authorities, which: • acts as Accountable Body for that region's funding; • is the interface between central Government and regional actors, and; • employs staff within the Hub and across the regional geography to deliver the objectives of the programme.
