Stirling Council was successful in the final round of the Sustrans Community Links PLUS (now Places for Everyone) competition to help develop and deliver an exemplar placemaking and active travel project. In September 2017 the bid, entitled Walk, Cycle, Live Stirling was successfully awarded design and construction phase funding to take the programme forward. The bid was built on the proposals contained within the City Region Deal Masterplan and the Local Transport Strategy, and has been developed in consultation with local communities.
