The 1.2m wide Boardwalk will be approximately 215 metres long with a handrail (with FSC Approved Softwood rails) on one side mostly and our design estimates the following quantities of materials below will be required. We have included generous allowances for surplus materials in the estimates as ground conditions do vary. The design is based on using recycled lumber and low slip potential boards as it will be in an intertidal zone. The boardwalk level will be above the normal tidal range and should not be covered.
