The purpose of this contract is to appoint a principal contractor to undertake the refurbishment and fit-out of 4 shipping containers as mobile laboratories for the International Ocean Discovery Programme. Once complete, the laboratories will then need to be DNV GL certified. It was determined that only one organisation could complete the refurbishment whilst also having experience of the certification process.
