Following a strategic review of the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence (VEAE), the decision has been made to modernise the awards, using a region-fed national awards system. The findings from the review highlighted that the application process needs to be simpler - currently applicants apply twice using two different systems, which are not integrated in any way. The aim is to achieve a unified awards programme that will require aligned processes and systems - it has therefore been identified that by licensing an awards management software, that is also available for the regional 'feeder' awards competitions to use, this will help to meet these requirements. …
