I-Venture

In 2012 a group of key stakeholders came together to develop 'Namibia Bound' - a unique 18 month programme providing young people from Bolsover district the opportunity of a lifetime. Working with six secondary schools, thirty students (plus six reserves) were selected to participate in a challenging programme of personal development culminating in a two-week expedition in Namibia under canvass without luxuries. The students selected had a variety of barriers to progressing positively at post-16 and had to abide by a strict code of conduct for the entirety of the project.
