What the buyer wrote
Local Authorities have a duty to provide Independent Visitors for those young people who are in care and who have little or no contact from their parents or family. Independent Visitors are volunteers who have the duty of 'visiting, advising and befriending the child'. The Council shall make arrangements to provide an Independent Visiting Scheme via an organisation independent of the Council and the Council's Children's Services Directorate. For more information please see the ITT documentation. All documents must be submitted via The Chest. All queries regarding use of The Chest are to be directed to Due North; telephone 0845 293 0459 (08:30-17:30) or email nwsupport@due-north.com
