An Independent Visitor (IV) is a volunteer who is not paid for their services, and is giving up their time to contribute positively to the welfare of a Child or Young Person (CYP) to be able to promote the child's developmental, socially and emotionally. The IV visits, advises and supports the CYP according to their needs and wishes.
