3.1 The outline of the project is for a turnkey solution for the hardware, configuration, installation, commission and integration of Standard 3 Hold Baggage X-ray Screening equipment at Jersey Airport. 3.2 The European Commission passed a legislative framework requiring all hold baggage screening in Europe be equipped with European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) Standard 3, approved explosives detection systems (EDS) by 2018 in the UK, 2020 for the rest of Europe. 3.3 PoJ wish to integrate this requirement into the existing Hold Baggage System by May 2020.
