Southend and Castle Point & Rochford CCGs wish to commission a framework of multiple providers with the appropriate capacity and capabilities from which they can spot purchase high quality services for patients requiring Intermediate Care (Bedded Provision) (ICB). Intermediate Care services will operate as part of a wider Discharge to Assess approach being implemented across South East Essex, which requires a consistent approach to both the provision of rehabilitation services and proactive planning for the next stage of the persons recovery.
