Lang Avenue PLP Scheme (Property Surveys)

Barnsley MBC will be undertaking flood risk protection works to residential properties in Lang Avenue area that were affected by flooding in 2007. The scheme comprises 85 properties which are eligible to benefit from the Property Level Flood Protection (PLP) Scheme. The main aim of the scheme is to minimize the risk of future flooding to 85 properties within the area identified for the scheme. The PLP scheme involves an individual survey of each property; this will identify appropriate property-level flood protection measures to protect each property which includes door guards, airbrick covers and non-return valves for domestic waste water systems etc, along with other appropriate measures.…
