These systems require a specialised contractor to carry out regular preventative maintenance every 5 and 10 years and also reactive maintenance if and when a system is activated. Translink intends to award a contract to PSV Transport Ltd to carry out this maintenance as they are the only service agent authorised by Fogmaker (manufacturer of the fire suppression systems) to carry out maintenance on their systems in the UK and Ireland.
