Materials Recycling, Bulking and Transport

Oxford Direct Services (ODS) provides waste management services to Oxford City Council (OCC) and to a range of commercial customers. As far as dry recycling is concerned, the recyclate collected on behalf of OCC at the kerbside is fully co-mingled, as is the waste from commercial customers. We are examining options to collect some recyclables (particularly glass) as single stream from commercial customers in the near future. ODS is now seeking tenders for the disposal and treatment of its dry mixed recycling with an estimated value of £1.2 million per annum.
