Mental Capacity and Learning Disabilities Training

We've been working to improve our ability to identify whether a doctor has considered appropriate support for patients to make decisions, and any concerns around a patient's mental capacity. To support this work and foster an organisational awareness of mental capacity and issues that arise for patients with learning disabilities, we aim to provide: -Awareness sessions to approximately 500 staff in key roles across the GMC and develop an online training resource for ongoing use.
