The aim of the survey is to measure the prevalence and severity of dental caries among three-year-old children within each lower-tier local authority. The survey must be carried out in accordance with PHE National Protocol and conducted by appropriately trained personnel. The Authority's detailed requirements are defined in Part 2 - Specification.
