Radioplayer is a collaborative radio platform, owned and operated (on a non-profit basis) by broadcasters including the BBC and the major commercial radio groups. Our mission is to keep radio listening simple on connected devices, and we do this by encouraging broadcasters to 'share technology, and compete on content'. Radioplayer started in the UK in 2011, as a common browser-player aimed at improving the radio experience on personal computers. Since then, we've launched on several other platforms including mobile, smart speakers, and cars, and we've established a reputation as a R&D centre for the international radio industry.
