There is an on-going programme of works to update and bring a number of our high priority IT Comms rooms up to a certain standard. Not only have we updated the cabling and IT equipment but a proportion of the works has been to upgrade the environments in which we hold this equipment and provide a service to our users to make them fit for purpose and resilient. For example installing air conditioning so the IT racks are running at the correct temperature, having dedicated power supplies, making them secure where appropriate, suitable lighting and in some areas that we have shared spaces so segregating our equipment, this will make access easier, more secure and ability to monitor these room…
