The site is approximately 13ha in size with up to 16m deep waste and was created in a quarry void left from the opencast mining of ironstone. The gas is extracted and flared off and the leachate is treated on site by x3 treatment lagoons and then discharged to a foul sewer. The site holds an Environmental Permit and a Trade Effluent Consent. The Contractor will be responsible for the operation and maintenance/servicing/audits of the gas flare and associated infrastructure (wells, KOPs, manifolds and pipework).
