P0326 - Provision of MOT Testing Services for Taxis (Hackney Carriage and Private Hire

Birmingham City Council has a duty to inspect and test any Hackney Carriage Vehicle or Private Hire Vehicle within the boundary area of the Council prior to licensing the vehicles to be used as taxis. It is a requirement that Licensed Hackney Carriage and Private Hire vehicles meet the Council Standards on safety, are fit for purpose and are roadworthy in order to meet high quality standards. The Council wishes to appoint a number of Vehicle Testing Stations within the Birmingham boundaries to undertake MOT testing and re-tests as specified by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and appropriate legislation.
