Leicester City Council invites Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) organisations to apply for support in delivering proposals that will strengthen the City Council?s response to the general aims of the Public Sector Equality Duty (as defined in the Equality Act 2010). These aims require the City Council (in exercising its functions) to have due regard to the need to: ? Eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation; ? Advance equality of opportunity between people who share a protected characteristic and those who do not; and ?
