PIPE (Psychologically Informed Planned Environment) Project - HMP Long Lartin

The service will follow the preparation PIPE model: • provide an in depth formulation and assessment of needs for those men in scope; specifically to provide a clear clinical description of their psycho-social needs, their risk of harm, and the factors related to their offending behaviour • provide assessments of men who otherwise might have been transferred into a High Secure Hospital to receive those assessments • increase the motivation of resident men to further engage with Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) services either on the unit or at another establishment and will address current barriers to treatment • provide medication where clinically advised • provide a psycho-soc…
