PLS is an improvement support programme for general practice that helps general practices to make operational changes for the benefit of patients and staff. For patients, benefits are in improved access and health outcomes, and for staff through increased productivity and reduced workload. There are 7 contracts offered in 7 Lots, one for each region in England. The contracts are for 3 years with an option to extend for an additional year.
