Project HS2/483 WFD Assessments

This notice relates to High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd's requirement to undertake Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessment surveys. A WFD assessment of the HS2 proposed scheme has previously been undertaken for surface water and groundwater bodies as part of the main and supplementary environmental statements. The previous WFD assessments were largely undertaken with desk based information. HS2 Ltd previously commissioned surveys of water bodies along the Phase One line of route to supplement the desk based assessment and confirm some of the conservative assumptions made within the Environmental Statements.
