The Authority proposes to enter into a contract with the above-named supplier “Jeppesen UK Limited” on a single source basis in accordance with paragraph 6 of Schedule 5 to the Procurement Act 2023 as competition is absent for technical reasons. No other supplier can supply the software and there are no suitable alternatives. To meet the Authority’s requirement, the software to be purchased has to be compatible with the existing Jeppesen Foreflight Despatch software. The currently used Jeppesen Foreflight Despatch software is a unified flight planning and collaboration hub which optimises flight planning and bridges the gap between flight planners and pilots.
