RSSB2749 - T1166 Minimising the impact of 'high and tight' platforms on the overall PTI stepgap dimensions - Tender Deadline Extended to The 14th February

The purpose of T1166 is to investigate high, tight, and high and tight platforms, to identify the extent in which these platforms are adversely impacting rolling stock modifications and the step / gap position at other locations. The research should select appropriate case study locations of high and tight platforms, to identify and understand the range of challenges and potential solutions required to minimise the adverse effect. Potential challenges and solutions are believed to depend on the platform configuration (e.g. height, offset, radius, curvature, cant, speed).
