This vehicle must be ready for deployment, with a competent crew, to any local, regional or national emergency that involves hazardous materials. To ensure this vehicle is ready to respond a team of twelve Hazardous Materials & Environmental Protection Advisors (HMEPA) have received additional training in the use of the scientific equipment on board the vehicle.
