SDC Community Navigators Service

Selby District Council Corporate Plan and Customer Strategy highlight the importance of communities having more involvement in the services to be delivered as they understand what a priority is for where they live and what will benefit their area. The Community Navigator project is to introduce a signposting service which will build on capacity and skills that already exist in the communities, developing resilient communities. From September to November 2013, there was a wider consultation where questionnaires/focus groups and public consultation events were undertaken asking what a low level support offer would look like for the communities.
