Specialist Orthotic Service

Warwickshire Institute for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (WISDEM) Centre based at UHCW acts as a tertiary centre for Coventry and Warwickshire and for the regional clinical network as well as a secondary centre for Coventry and Rugby CCG. The vascular hub for Coventry and Warwickshire is also situated at UHCW. As a consequence the MDFT based at WISDEM Centre, UHCW frequently provides local and regional care to the most complex patients (at risk of life, limb or tissue loss due to their vascular or diabetes complications such as sepsis, gangrene, critical limb ischaemia, end stage renal failure and neuropathy).
