Supporting teacher educators to embed Development Education and Global Learning in initial teacher education

The British Council seeks a supplier to support teacher educators to develop awareness and implementation of Development Education and Global Learning (DEGL) related pupil learning outcomes by trainee teachers. DEGL can be defined in a number of ways, and also referred to as global citizenship, education for sustainable development etc. For the purposes of this RFP, it is defined as education that aims to inform learners about global issues, such as poverty, climate change, and the rationale for UK aid, and to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to live and work in a globalised economy and take action on sustainable development.
