Synthesis of an artificial oral fluid matrix

1 Overview 1.1 A requirement has arisen for an artificial oral fluid to be synthesized. The artificial oral fluid will be bespoke, and must be synthesized according to the composition given in Table 1 of the Appendix. 1.2 Once synthesised the artificial oral fluid must then be used as a matrix for the preparation, validation and supply of a series of defined standard solutions which will be used in the development and evaluation of drug testing technologies. 1.3 Solutions with mixtures of controlled substances and single uncontrolled substances are required.
