**Please note that this is an award notice and the opportunity is now closed.** The City of London Corporation in its role as a Local Authority is responsible for the provision of a Public Mortuary Service for the reception, storage, post-mortem examination of human remains area referred to it by the HM Coroner (or his/her representative) for the City of London District. The Coroner's service is a statutory service that must be provided for the City of London but can be provided at suitable premises elsewhere with the Senior Coroner's approval.
