As part of our work delivered in 2015/16, the Catapult developed a database of IoT (Internet of Things) companies, funding, investment, research, meet-ups, collaborations, platforms, projects and products in the UK. We commissioned a visualization tool to allow the data to be viewed and partially manipulated from a web interface. From the resulting database asset we produced a number of short-form reports. In 2016/17 we are seeking to further develop and improve the core database asset – to create a comprehensive evidence base of IoT activity in the UK which can then be offered on an open-access model via an interactive and adaptive web interface, as well as offering a rich data resource…
