TPE operates a fleet of twelve Class 397 electric multiple units. These units were built by CAF and operate inter-city services on the west coast mainline. The units will be due for their first overhaul from spring-2024 (current assumption but this may change and an invitation for expressions of interest was previously issued which that commencement date was expected to be mid-2023) and will require certain modifications to be performed by the OEM. TPE is now seeking expressions of interest from high quality maintenance performers for the provision of the works.
