STFC has a requirement for the ongoing maintenance of its design software and associated data management software. The applications currently in use are Solid Edge for mechanical design and Teamcenter for data management, both supplied by Siemens PLM Software. The support and maintenance agreement for these applications expires on 31st December 2017. STFC currently has a total of 94 licences for Solid Edge and Teamcenter. Around 90% of these are in use at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire with the remainder being installed at the Daresbury Laboratory near Warrington. …
