'The successful service provider chosen by the Council for the Derry Wireless Contract pursuant to this competition will be granted the right to use street furniture assets, predominantly street lighting columns, to provide wireless communications network infrastructure and will provide payments (fees and/or revenues) to the Council in return. The access infrastructure provided will be open access and will form a technology neutral network capable of supporting mobile broadband in the near term (Wi-Fi and 3G) as well as into the future (4G through LTE and the next generation of Wi-Fi).
