The scope of this project is to engage with a vendor-agnostic 3rd party to advise TPR of any shortcomings or potential improvements with our current backup solution(s). TPR currently uses a number of different products to backup and replicate data, some of which have not been updated for over a year. TPR runs a 99% virtualised environment using VMWare products and when the backup solution was implemented in 2007, physical servers were still in use. There may a case for investigating more efficient backup methods and architectures.
