Warwick District Council takes seriously its responsibility to protect and enhance its town centres. It has a good record of commissioned retail assessments to inform its planning policy. Over the last fifteen years a number of studies have been undertaken, most recently in 2014 by Strategic Perspectives. These have provided a basis both for policy development and for considering planning applications that have come before the council.
