The primary role of CNC operational officer is as authorised firearms officers (AFO). CNC AFOs are issued with ballistic helmets for armed deployment, a winter hat with ear guards for cold weather and a lighter ski cap for all other times. CNC AFO’s patrol in all weather conditions and require hardwearing, durable and comfortable clothing and equipment in order to do their job effectively.
