What the buyer wrote

The University of Sheffield has awarded a tender on behalf of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering for an X-Ray Diffractometer. We required a desktop X-Ray Diffractometer capable of rapid data collection from the wide diversity of materials studied by students and TUoS researchers– both small bulk pieces (pellets, off-cuts etc) and powdered specimens of ceramics, cements and refractories, metals and glasses.

Bid for this and lost? There is a short window in which the decision can be questioned.
